Do I have to approve every X post it writes?

Only if you want to. Out of the box the post goes out and lands in your inbox; switch approvals on and anything an assistant creates is held for a human. No key, tool or prompt can approve a post.

Does Cursor need my X password?

No. You connect your X account to xpost yourself, the normal way, and Cursor only ever talks to xpost. It never sees a password or a token.

Does posting to X from Cursor cost extra?

No. The connector and the API are included in every xpost plan, with no extra fee and no usage meter. You pay for the accounts you connect; posts are unlimited.

Add the MCP server
In Cursor open Settings → Tools & Integrations → New MCP Server and paste this address.

Sign in to xpost
Press Connect beside xpost. Log in once in the browser and the connection is made.

In the agent chat, say what you want, for which accounts and when. It comes back with a link to the post. Switch approvals on and that link is where you approve it.
