Connecting Cursor
Three steps, about two minutes. Once it is done, every network is available to it, not just LinkedIn.
- 1
Add the MCP server
In Cursor open Settings → Tools & Integrations → New MCP Server and paste this address.
- 2
Sign in to xpost
Press Connect beside xpost. Log in once in the browser and the connection is made.
- 3
Ask for a post
In the agent chat, say what you want, for which accounts and when. Approve the post from the link it gives you or in your queue.
What Cursor can make for LinkedIn
The same limits the composer checks, so a draft your assistant writes is one LinkedIn will actually take.
| Post types | Post from a profile or a Page, PDF document carousel with a title |
|---|---|
| Pictures and video | Up to 9 photos, 1 video, or 1 PDF (on its own) |
| Caption length | Up to 3000 characters, counted as you type |
| First comment | Not yet |
| Tagging | Not yet |
| Also | A document title, alt text on pictures |
