Can Cursor post to Threads?

Yes. Connect Cursor to xpost and it can write, schedule and publish Threads posts for your account. It cannot publish on its own — every post it creates waits in your approval queue until you approve it.

Do I have to approve every Threads post it writes?

Yes, and that is the point. Anything an assistant creates is held for a human. Your brand rules are checked before the draft even exists, and no key, tool or prompt can approve a post.

Does Cursor need my Threads password?

No. You connect your Threads account to xpost yourself, the normal way, and Cursor only ever talks to xpost. It never sees a password or a token.

Add the MCP server
In Cursor open Settings → Tools & Integrations → New MCP Server and paste this address.

Press Connect beside xpost. Log in once in the browser and the connection is made.
