Connect xpost to Claude
Claude calls a connection like this a connector. Set it up once on claude.ai and the Claude desktop app has it too — they share one list. Then you can ask Claude to write a post and publish it to any account you have connected, and every post still passes your brand guardrails and, in copilot mode, waits for your approval.
Set it up
- 1
Copy this project's address
It is the same address for every assistant, and it is not a secret — nothing can use it without signing in to xpost first.
https://xpost.to/api/mcp
Your dashboard shows this under Project → AI agent → Connect, with a copy button.
- 2
Add it as a custom connector
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the address. There is nothing else to fill in: no key, no client id, no secret. Claude finds our sign-in from the address itself.
Open Claude's connectors - 3
Sign in to xpost and allow it
Claude opens our own page: pick which project Claude may post to, then press Allow. You come straight back to Claude with the connector listed.
One connection reaches one project. To let Claude post to a second project, add the same address again and pick that project when you sign in.
How to know it worked
In Claude, the connector appears in the list with xpost's tools available to the conversation. On our side, look under Project → AI agent → Keys: there is a row for Claude saying “connected by signing in”.
Whatever the assistant drafts goes through the same path as a post you write yourself: brand guardrails run on every one, and in copilot mode it lands in Approvals and waits for you. An assistant can never approve its own post. The connection shows up under Project → AI agent → Keys as “connected by signing in”, with a Disconnect button that ends it immediately.
What to ask it
Name the account and the platform. Claude reads the accounts it is allowed to see, so it does not need telling twice.
- “List the accounts I can post to in xpost.”
- “Write a post about our new pricing page for LinkedIn and X, and schedule it for tomorrow at 9am.”
- “Check the delivery receipt for the post that went out yesterday.”
- “Which of my last ten posts got the most engagement, and what did they have in common?”
When nothing happens
The failures worth knowing.
Claude says it has no xpost tools
It asks you to sign in again, every time
It posts to the wrong project
